SCHO REFLECTOR ’82 THE ROAD NOT TAKEN Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. O, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I — I took the one less traveled by. And that had made all the difference. The Juniors received first place in the float competition. Second place was awarded to the Freshmen, third to the Sophomores, and fourth to the Senior Class. We played an exciting game against the Genoa-Kingston Cogs, which was highlighted by a 90 yard run by Mike Terry. The game was close until the fourth quarter, with a final score of 19-6. Although we lost, it was an exhilarating game to watch. Our Indians are to be congratulated on their fine effort. Later that night, we danced to the music of this year’s homecoming band, Network. Looking back on all the events that took place, Homecoming 1981 was a great success. Photo 1. I'm getting out of here! Photo 2. Watch out, Cogs! Here we come! Photo 3. A real spirit builder. Photo 4. They presented the play, “The Waiting Room.” It is a “black comedy” about blind people waiting to die (or be cured) in a dreary institution and how the staff tries to take advantage of them. They play was done entirely by the class and was very well done. Everyone who attended the production enjoyed it very much. 1 The Cast Mrs. Eden Mrs. Arnold Mrs. Baker Mr. Clak ... Victor..... I am 17 years old, and I come from Denmark. I have been through nine years of school and graduated. When I come home, I am going to three years of gymnasium. My major is going to be math and physics. I live near a town with a population of 4,500 people, it is called Naestved. I have a little brother named Jakob who is 12 years old. I enjoy skiing, hiking, tennis, sailing, scouting, and track. I like Sandwich in the summertime, because it gets much warmer than where I live. I do miss the woods and the ocean, though. I live very near the ocean where I have my sailboat. I have enjoyed my stay in Sandwich and I have learned a lot about people. I like the school system, because the sports are appreciated so much.” Photo 1.
