JS Our football team had a great victory over Braidwood. The enthusiastic parade made the team eager to win. The final score was 20-12, our first Homecoming victory in 3 years. Because of our victory, the dance was well attended. Coach Hutchins said this about the game, “Because of the efforts of Brunoehler, Benson Ei-senberg, and VanPelt, Braidwood was unable to score in the 1st half. We piled up a 14-0 lead with great running by Strever, Stratton, and Heywood. The 2nd half continued with Braidwood scoring 2 TD's to our 1. With time running out, Stratton made a game-saving tackle at the 3-yard line to insure our 20-12 victory. J J -h J 10

WINTER TIME Quite a number of people turned out for the Winter Dance to listen to the crowd-pleasing music of Borealis. The Student Council sponsored the dance and, with a little assistance from Santa's helpers, they put up the decorations to match the Christmas season. The snowflakes dangled from the ceiling and couples had their photos taken in front of Santa's sleigh. The scent of evergreen was brought out by the massive Christmas trees. As you danced among the crowd, you could sense the excitement for everyone knew that St. Nick was on his way. It was a slightly chilly night, but that did not affect the crowd. Everyone who attended, danced the night away.
