ACTIVITIES An enthusiastic crowd leads the team to victory. 1970—Those Homecoming 1970 was another great success. It all began with the Freshmen's attempt at a bonfire on Friday night. The following day began with the parade, was climaxed by the Indians' Below: The Freight Touchdown! Up, Up and Away ... to a Victory! Another one for Howard! ! Were the Days victory over the Marseilles Panthers with a score of 39--6. The victory was celebrated with the annual dance that evening beginning with the coronation of the King and Queen. The 1971 Prom King and Queen: Steve Breunig and Debbie Risk. Wonderland The 1971 Junior-Senior Prom began with the coronation of King Steve and Queen Debbie. Guests danced to the music of Myers Olson orchestra. Following the formal dance, the couples enjoyed the Post-prom festivities which began at midnight. Larry O'Brien, along with the rock group, The United Nations , and local talent provided the entertainment. All in all, the evening proved to be a smashing success. Attracting the attention of everyone were the new games such as Git'er Garter and Pan for Gold . After a full evening of fun and games, many danced to the sounds of Ralph H-esselbaum and his orchestra.
