Soon we were called together to elect our class officers. David Wright as president; Ray Bunch as vice-president; Judy Dean as secretary; and Debby Risk as treasurer. With a last minute effort our float came out with a booming third place, our slogan being Your Day Has Come, Lisle. The bonfire had a big turnout. Our Indian, Steve Marcellus, taking the place of Jim Mickelson who had broken his arm, lit our bonfire. Sooner than we thought along came semesters and the Junior Carnival, for which our candidates were Debbie Risk and Jim Mickelson. On the whole our freshman year was better than we had thought it might be.
