Officers: Laura Hough, secretary; Rich Koempel, Vice President; Barb Bannister, President; Lorna Anderson, Treasurer. Spanish Club Spanish Club was formed this year by students of Spanish I. Even though it was a brand-new club, it entered a float in the Homecoming Parade and won first place. Their meetings are held periodically. Some of their activities were sponsoring a sock hop after a football game and enjoying several parties. They hope to end the year with a trip to Chicago. The President is Barb Bannister, Vice President is Rich Koempel. Secretary is Laura Hough, and Treasurer is Lorna Anderson. Their first activity was a trip to Chicago in November. During the year they sponsored a sock-hop, sold struedel, and had a pizza party at the home of Mr. Coats, the advisor of the group. They held another field trip in the spring. They ended the year with a German picnic. The club members have been striving hard to raise enough money to purchase a whirlpool with such money making projects are sweatshirt sales, candy sales, car washes, and the selling of members as slaves for a day.
