The Seniors solemnly march to the strains of Pomp and Circumstance. Graduation On June 8, 1965, 91 Seniors marched down the front steps of the High School toward their last official act as Seniors . . . Graduation. As the ceremony began, all eyes were toward the hazy sky, which seemed quite unpredictable, but everyone was determined to have Commencement on the lawn, so everything went on schedule. After the invocation was given by Rev. Grady, President of the Class, Gene Shumway, gave the Welcome. Next, Salutatorians, Sandra Reinhart and Bob Hebei gave their speeches. The Nucleus and The Electron. Valedictorian, Susan Larson followed, with The Reaction. A summary was given by Mr. Turney. The Foreign Exchange Student, Herbert Goncalves spoke about The Last Opportunity. After the Presentation of the Class, by the principal, Mr. Chivers, the final and most important presentation took place. ' Mr. Krauspe, President of the School Board, presented the Class their diplomas. As the Benediction was given, and the High School Band played Music for a Ceremony, many m embers realized that their high school days were over. As the receiving line finally dispersed, the class went its m any different ways. The Graduates await the well-earned congratulations that they are about to receive.
