Junior Carnival On March 6, Treasure Island opened its crepe-paper doors and turned the gym into a fun-filled carnival. The fun house had its usual treacherous traps and there were pirates and jailers who roamed the midway looking for dangerous mutineers to jail in the escape-proof (?) brig. The carnival dance topped the gay evening. Ken Oder provided music for the Island Paradise which drew the couples onto the floor amidst the confetti.

What's the matter with you? Sandra asks Mabel. Stranger in the Night Sylvia Lee and Mabel Crane are two innocent owners of the Boulevard Hotel Book and gift shop. All goes well until Grant Terry arrives from New York telling of a vicious plot scheduled to take place in the Shop--a plot of MURDER! Within a very short time everyone in the hotel thinks they are the victim, for many different reasons. Eddie thinks he is the victim because of the traveling bag Nona, the elevator operator, has given him--he thinks it is full of stolen property. Sylvia thinks she is the one marked for murder for a reason she refuses to tell. Velda Stevens, the secretary of Mr. Rutledge, is convinced she is the victim because she was once hooked up with a blackmailer. Mabel knows that her time is up because she has learned how to capture a man. The play was full of surprises and turned out to be one of the best plays ever produced at Sandwich High. The play proved to be a real success with the many helpful hours of guidance given by Mr. Reid and Miss Johnson, the directors. The play was made complete with the help of Miss Young for scenery and make-up. Senior Play Cast—Left to Right: Mr. Reid, Miss Johnson, Judith Christensen, Beth Hopkins, Bob Hebei, Jacquie Scents, Rick Sims, Mike Flynn, Sue Hurley, Brad French, Sonja Phelper, Penny Webber, Tom Wallis, Denise Greif.
