DEDICATION At this time when the American way of life is imperiled, all are called upon to contribute of their time, effort, and resources. Our front lines of defense in this world conflict are the members of our Armed Forces, who often make the supreme sacrifice of life itself that all people may be free. In recognition of the service that former students of S. T. H. S. are rendering, we, the senior class of 1943, dedicate this Reflector. We are proud to honor the 220 alumni now in the Armed Forces at the time of publication and those who will have joined their ranks within the year.

CONTENTS ADMINISTRATION $£ NIORS CLASSES AT HI £ TICS ACT IV) TIES FORWARD With the passing of another school year, one which has been filled with hope and an all-out effort toward victory, the time to present the senior yearbook has again arrived. It is with this thought in mind that we, the Reflector Staff, have chosen the patriotic theme to give you a picture of the students and activities of S. T. H. S.—the students because they soon will have the task of protecting and helping run our country, and the activities because they have played an important part in preparing the students to assume this responsibility and to develop an active loyalty to our country ana the principles for which it stands.

C r i Pin A special aviation education course, taught by Mr. Poullette, has been introduced into the school curriculum this year. Its purpose is to give those boys interested a basic knowledge of the construction and maintenance of an airplane, the weather conditions that affect flight, the use of radio in connection with aviation, and a basic knowledge of navigation, and other information essential to one considering a career in aviation. The Junior Red Cross organized under the direction of Miss Holland has been called upon to make many articles such as afghans bedroom slippers, utility bags, and table favors for various veterans' hospitals. The scrap drive in November sponsored by the Junior Red Cross was a continuation of the one started by the Agricultural Department last spring. The appeal sent out then and the house-to-house canvass made by the Junior Red Cross resulted in 248 tons of scrap being turned in to the Sandwich dealer. Mr. Eade has been conducting three evening school classes every week in Increased Hog Production. The 120 farmers attending these classes have shown by their interest that this course which stresses increased production, economy of production, and control of diseases has been a very practical and worthwhile contribution to the war effort.
