It was Oriental Spring that night. Every girl who had her picture taken underneath the pagoda felt herself transformed into Ma- dame Butterfly. Couples strolled among the trees and exotic flow- ers mingled with sparkling white lights. Some stood on the bridge , and gazed down into the clear pool below. Color was everywhere; rich oriental red accented with royal touches of gold and black. The music was performed by Beat Surrender and The Drive. It didn ' t seem to matter that they never played our theme song, This Could Be the Might. Everyone just enjoyed dancing, but soon the high heels came off and girls were wearing their dates bow ties. Christine Zeliski was crowned a beautiful Prom Queen on the arm of a no less dashing Tim Myles. They ' ll never forget that night. Mone of us will, because we, the Class of 1987, made it.
