Q(B[a Ikura Yazawa is SHS’s exchange student from Japan. His home is located in Funabashi, Chiba, however in Sandwich he is being hosted by the Harrington family of Tupper Road. He has attended a private institute of higher education in Japan by the name of Waseda, located in Tokyo. He is fascinated by the independence and freedom exer- cised at SHS and is enjoying his stay with excitement. Elenor Baptiste is from her home in Granada, West Indies and is now living with the Atwoods in East Sandwich. One of the difficult adjustments was the climate however she claims that living in Sandwich and with the Atwoods has been an interesting experience. The United States has amazed her in many ways. Karin Haby of Grotenburg, Sweden is enjoying her stay in Sandwich, also. Karin says her hometown in Sweden has much American influence, but the lifestyle still differs. Since her arrival in August, she has seen many parts of Sandwich and the Cape. Marie Vetland, also of Sweden is finding the American people just wonderful. She is staying with the Puopolos of Forestdale and has seen more of the U.S. than many Americans. She has well taken to the American teen-age atmosphere to the extent of enjoying pizza, music, and a variety of others. She will return to Sweden to complete her senior year before going on to a university. 68 KNEELING and SITTING (Left to Right)- Joey Matava, Cheryl Pavlas, Beryl Richmond, Trinnia Cremeans, Dianna King, Julie Dodge, Jeff Quin, Scott Brower, Marshall Myers, Scott Brown STANDING- Steve Garvin, Rick Anthony, Robbin Buckley, Chris Ford, Wendi Lanteri, Betsy Boyle, Brenda Le Blanc, Joanne Mendoza, Joan Callahan, Susan Lupone, Marion McCandless, Albert Robert!, Mary Francess Smith, Debbie Leonard, Susan Westfield, Pam Smith, Suzanne McNamara, Jim Callahan, Rod Potter r(jrUR( OF flWCRlCfl Debbie Stanley, Jay Quinton, Mrs. Mary Huff, Mary McGoff Student Store 1st ROW: left to right - Bob Cullen, Donna Gilfoy, Bob Hewitt, Eric Matowitz, Karen Parker, Leslie Baker, Kathy Uggerholt 2nd ROW: Cheryl Adams, Chris Pavo, Mr. Ash-Advisor, Bob Brun, Ray Tourville, Don Green Swim Club 1st ROW: left to right- Alison Hickey, Cheryl Pavlas, Joya Colombo, Annelie Chapman, Jill Hagberg, David Giampietro 2nd ROW: Beryl Richmond, Virginia Gaffney, Elizabeth Howland, Bridget McCardle, Kim Foley, Sueanne Hanley 3rd ROW: Miss Semonian-Advisor, Sean Suckling Jeanne Condon-President, Cindy Campbell-Treasurer, Pam Elvander-Vice President, Terri Rosinolt- Secretary 50PHM0K omca-) Deborah Steinley-Treasurer, David Anderson-Vice President, Gina Jancinto-President, Deborah Kelly- Secretary FWSHMflN cm orncaj Kim Foley- Secretary, Robert Mecier- President, Natalie Santos- Treasurer, Chris Feeney- Vice President 71 Left to Right: Bob Brun, Gregg Kapinos, Richard Leydn, David Kellogg, Tom Cook TUMT (OUriOL rt‘)S0(lAT 0 S FRONT ROW- Mr. Frank, Sally Seabury, Elaine Choate, Martha Cook, Sue Choate, Regina Jacin- to, Maureen MacNamara BACK ROW- David Kellog, Greg Kapinos, Richard Leydon, Scott Whitelaw 72 FRONT: Nancy DeCubellis, Terry Rossignol, Kitty Colten, Laura Guillmette, Gail Weeks, Mary Anne Days, Sue Korgen, Judy Ciarfella REAR: Suzanna Jordan, Donna Macomber, Nicole Gorden, Karen Haby, David Kellogg, Ikuru Yazawa, David Weaver, Karen McKee, Claire Kudera 1. to r.
