the class of 1970 presents, the LANCER Sandwich High School Sandwich, Massachusetts Dedication We, the Senior class of Sandwich High School, are proud to dedicate our yearbook to our teacher and friend, Mr. William Doyle, Through our years of junior and senior high school, Mr. Doyle has guided us in various fields. As a teacher he has taught us to use and expand our minds. As a coach he has taught us the qualities of sportsmanship. As the advisor for our prom he shared our worries and extended his efforts. As the director of our play he brought out the actors and actresses in us. As an individual he has shown us that humor and seriousness combine to form a good person. With this dedication we hope to return just a small part of what Mr. Doyle has given us. 2 Principal MR. JAMES H. SIBSON Bowdoin College Worcester State College A.B. , M.Ed. HENRY T. St. Anthony ' s 58 Sandwich 68 The highlights of the year were too numerous to Provincetown 55 Sandwich 62 mention. Perhaps we should mention, however, a superb Martha ' s Vineyard 74 Sandwich 91 come from behind win over Bourne in Sandwich when the Bristol 41 Sandwich 70 clock broke down with the score tied at 55-55; or a Chatham 44 Sandwich 70 determined effort that defeated Provincetown and knocked Harwich 73 Sandwich 60 them out of league contention; or how, even in dropping Nauset 79 Sandwich 86 a 73-70 decision to Harwich or 72-70 decision to P-town. Nantucket 73 It was surely a season to be proud of and one to build on, and Coach Doyle should be commended for a fine job of coaching. FRONT ROW: Edwin Zion (Coach), N. McArdle, S. Smith, J.
