The curriculum of the Mathematics De partment In addition to offering the required courses in general math and algebra also consists of plane geometry intermediate algebra solid geometry trlgonometry and advanced algebra These later courses are being offered to those students whose apt: tudes favor the higher mathematics By taking all the math offered in hugh school a student can provide himself with a foundation necessary for a career In any form of engineering Such a mathematical background also enables the student to de velop his own reasoning powers Regardless of how much math a student may take it will inevitably help him as he goes through life Math is not a sublect to be in the everyday tasks you perform Whether It is paying your bulls figuring the amount of maternal needed for a dress or finding how much paint will be needed to cover the walls of a room math is being used Thus math IS more than a school sublect In fact it is a sublect dealt with every day of our lives 18 72 Cl, IQHICLIICJ -P Intermed ate Algebra S p Co 9 l , I I I 7 . .
