President - Fred Reinelt Vice-President - Marvin Bays Secretary - Pat Herdell Treasurer - Ella Mae Schroder Sponsor - Mr. Trigger During the month of February all the Club members of Mr. Triggers Geometry class constructed original compass valentines and these were mailed to little Roger Valentine, Dearborn, Michigan, a victim of leukemia. These were very original exercises and they also served the purpose of helping to entertain a sick child. The Math Club Conference was held on January l2, i957 and the members who attended were: Lonnie Spiegle, Marvin Bays, George Fredricks, George Lubnau, Mark Orchard, Dale Cubitt, Ella Mae Schroder, Dana Duck-' witz. Dale Cubitt and Mark Orchard gave a very interesting talk at the student section of the conference before four hundred students of other schools. 47

All girls from Junior and Senior classes who are in- terested in hospital work are eligible to join. lt is the purpose ofthe club to encourage them in Finding out what nursing requires, and what it offers, to help them decide wisely about pro- fessional or practical nursing as their career. Field trips are the highlights of the year's program. The trip of l957, which proved very interesting and ex- citing, was to the Grace Hospital in Detroit. Compliments of SANDUSKY DRUG CO. This year the Spanish Club and the Latin Club ioined into one organization under the name of Cadena Latina. Last year the Spanish Club had a party with the Latin Club as guests. ln return, the Latin Club entertained at the Roman Banquet in April. At the banquet the Latin Club put on a small play and everything was done in Roman style. -48-
