Football Festival Homecoming stood out this year from other years for two reasons. First of all, this was the First year that the sophomores and juniors have been included in the royalty. Along with Queen Natalie Linscott and King Lee Badger, were Princess Jance Klesch, Prince Scott Albert- son, Lady Heather Daarstad, and Lord Mike Crossingham. The second reason was spirit. There was more class spirit and enthusi- asm this week than there has been for several years. , said Mr. Beaudoin. Seniors led the rest of the student body in winning the gym decorating and the class competition at the pep assembly.

1984-85: Year of change, year of stability. SHS opened in fall under new administration, new graduation requirements, a new attendance policy, even a newly paved parking lot (eventually). But through all the change there remained a constant thread, a stability provided by the class of ’85 itself. Concluding its 12 years of public education in the community, they continued to demonstrate a spirit and enthusiasm that had been growing over the years. The Seniors began by providing that solid positive leadership for the rest of the student body, which they continued to demonstrate through the year.
