Math Club, in its third year, has more than doubled in size. The main objective of the club is to have fun with math” said club advisor Mr. Rick Gehring. The club attends two main com- petitions, one in Coeur d'Alene in the fall and one in Boise in the spring. The highest scorer at each competition wins a scholarship to N.I.C. and Boise State respectively. The runnerup also receives a prize, such as a calculator. The club only raises money for their trip to Boise. Mr. Gehring would like to start an intrascholastic competition at S.H.S. and award a medal to the highest scorer. The club was informal and did not elect any officers.
