The 1980-81 season was the year of the Blackhawk. The Blackhawk cheerleaders were preparing for wonderful season. They attended camp at Normal, IL., where they worked hard and practiced and com peted to win 1 Super Squad, 2 Excellent and 11 Superior ribbons. ln addition, they brought home the Spir Stick which showed they had the most spirit at camp. They accompanied the band in parades and the ban- accompanied them in pep rallies. The rallies and parades were both successes. During the season the girls planned for the El Conference Tournament to be held at home. The squa entertained the crowd between the tournament games. They were wonderful hostesses to the othd squads. Michelle Grasher was the new SUPER HAWK. She kept the crowd rowdy and ready to cheer th team on. This was the year of the Blackhawk!!! 4 1 .
