The first event of the year was the initiation of the members of the Freshman Club. an October ll, the girls came to school dressed according to the rules given them H the evening before. That night they took the club oath. Then refreshments were served. At the November meeting a chill lunch was served with Sodao The F.F.A. boys invited the Home Ec. girls to a party on November 14. This was cordially accepted. There were games and dancing in the gym and a weiner roast later out in back of the school. The Senior girls prepared the dinner for the Father and Son Banquet. Dramatic Club The members of the Dramatic Club worked hard all during the year to keep the school entertained. Miss Johnson tried to get us to improve our speech, talk.louder, and get over stage fright. ' ' For chapel programs during the year, we presented the following: - NTruth or Consequencesn, nThe Home-coming of l976U, UStyle Shnwur-'Perplexing Situationn, nFaeulty Mockn, and a play for the com unity, with the aid of the Cleo Club and the Speech Club. I 1 , y-- The members are: Ada Anderson, Jackie Adams, Mary Crane, Rosemary Felton, Harold Gramlick, Ramona Rains, Joe Ross, Earl Wilkinson, Mildred Sanders, Beverly Skipper, Nancy Kay Ticknor, and is sponsored by Miss Johnson. The Dramatics Club entered a contest at St. Elmo on March 9. .Speech Classy The Speech Class studied tone coloration and how to stand and speak on the stage this year, The class is sponsored by Miss Johnson. The Speech Club entered a contest at St..Elme on.March 9, and Mary Frances Burnett won a first. The following are in Speech Club for the year: Jean Satterlee, Patricia Carroll, Mary Crane, Bev-r1y Skipper, Ada Anderson, Faye Crane, Lois Foltz, Shirley Cole, Betty Rae Maley, Mary Frances Burnett, Colleen Simcox, and Mary K. Ross. Freshman Home Ee Club B The Freshman girls were initiated and sworn into the club by the Senior Club president, Marilyn Quayle. Q On Dec. 20, the club members changed gifts. They had drawn names at a previous meeting. The gifts were placed under a decorated Christmas Tree. Along with the Seniors, they accepted tho invitation to thflbpo .Fu Ac partzfo Some of the girls were chosen to help prepare the dinner for the Father and Son Banquet.
