November 22 and December 4-- Wcalendern lContinued5 November --All Seniors interested in a school paper met withrliss Kostanzer and Mrs. Wehrle and selected a staff for the school paper. --The Juniors presented the play, nHowdy Neighborsn and were well pleased with the turn out. 6--English classes are given copies of the Loyalty song to memorize and what e splen- did job they did. -'Sandoval vs. Breeze, here in the first basketball game of the season andlvdwl an over whelming victory for the Blackhawks. Good work, boys. --The Music Department sponsored by Miss Huelbig went to Carbondale where they en- joyed a Band Concert and later took in the town. --Since when did Armistice Day come on the l2th? But that holiday was nice wasn't it teachers and students? --Sandoval vs. Clay City, there, and can you guess? Another victory. --The F.F.A. boys gave a party for the Home Bc. Club girls. Whee1'Whee3 hubba, hubbal U --The Dramatics Club presented 'The Home Coming of'l976W the greatest comedy to hit the stage, starring Clarence McDaniel as Mr. Crawford. 16--Kimmundy vs. Sandoval in basketball, here, and another victory for the Blackhawks, --Vandalia vs. Sandoval, there, in basket- ball but what's that, a defeat? Yes, but that's all right,'boys. those long struggles in which we were de- feated by one point. Hurrah: Hurrah! End of the second six weeks. December Sandoval Gym. --Victory for Sandoval over Nashville. -Defeat for the Blackhawks and Ashley leads in a try for first trophy. -Ashley takes second place while Sta Mary's leads with the first trophy. --Hurrah! a holiday, kids, Thanksgiving. Baseball fans skipped school and went to the game but spent the following three days after school making up time. The Dramatics Club showed its first ability on the stage with a game of nTruth or the Conseqnencesn. Not bad was it? Patoka vs. Sfndoval, here, and just another baseball victory for the Blackhawks. The Seniors ordered their class rings which should be here before Christmas. October -D Carlyle vs. Sandoval, there, in baseball and again victory for the Blackhawks. Okawville vs. Sandoval and what do you think? Another baseball victory. Sandoval vs. Ashley, there and victory which assured the Blackhawks the trophy. Mrs. Dame joined her husband who returned from two years of service overseas. Students greet Hrs. Agnes Wehrle who took the classes of Mrs. Dame. Initiation of Freshman Home Economics girls. Listen, boys and girls, the greatest dis- appointment over when A Turk failed to succeed in giving any entertainment at all. Not even successful in teaching the students to pop their fingers. --Patoka vs. Sandoval in basketball and victory 11 OI' US 4 The F.F.A. boys honored their fathers in a banquet given at the high school. The people of Sandoval enjoyed a Christmas program given by the Music Department and thanks to Miss Huelbig for sponsoring so grand a program. r Seniors patiently waiting but no class rings. Christmas vacation began. ' January Return from Christmas vacation but no rings. St. Mary vs. Sandoval at Carlyle. You guessed it, victory. ' -swoodlawn vs. Sandoval, here, and what a splendid victory. The Senior class chose a girl for the good citizenship award offered by the D.A.R. Sandoval won a victory over Okawville with a score of 61-55. ' Sandoval was sorry to lose a very useful person when Mr. Smith departed. The people of Odin came ever to see a defeat for them with a score of 46-50. Watch out, girls! Mr. Deacon is here. Mr. Norman returns from Guam lhubag hubs!! So long Mrs. Herman we will see you in a couple of weeks maybe.fBut after all, can we blame her?J The Senior class gave a party in the gym. O.K. wasn't it? Sandoval vs. Kimmundy there and a final score of 58-54 in favor of Sandoval. ' The Dramatics Club again proved their ability when they presented the play, UA Perplexing S1tuation.n The afternoon exhibited a sky filled with dark clouds as the students gazed from their exam papers. Thank goodness, that darn semester is gone. What is your record? No, you don't have to answer that.
