NClass Historyn The things that seem of the utmost importance to us today are mere memories forltomorrow. Even though this is true, some of the schodl day incidents are so humorous that we, the class ofll946, shall never for- get them. We were literally Nscared stiffn by the older students who delighted in laughing at us when we meekly walked into their classes thinking they were ours. We didnlt know to go to assembly when three bells rang but instead thought Nr. Crawford was having fun playing with the bell. These are only a few Of the many mistakes that our teachers frowned at when we were not looking. They often wondered if we really had gone to grade school. W At the end of our Freshman year we breathed a sigh of relief and felt that Wu had gained poise and confidence enough to take us through the next three years. Certainly, we were no longer Hgreen fresh esu, but just Usilly sophsN.- This year went along smoo hly and more knowledge,went- into our growing minds. We were well on our way to enjoy the winter activities provided for us. Billy Joe Niepoetter was again elected president, Hu had done a good job along- with Joe Ross and Tommy Nicolay the year before as class officers. We new elected Albert Kuhn as Secretary and Tommy Nicolay as Vice-President to guide us through the. - year. As we ondod our second year we knew every corner of S.C.H.S. We had soon found with ease the gracious .. specimen nRochcsterW for Mr. Robertsdn's bug collection. . During our third year wexyorked diligently to give the seniors a banquet that the+ could remember and one that we could look back upon with pride. We succeeded! We had a class play that proved to be the Uspotlightn of the year. Mrs. Garret with the juniorsn consent chose NLittlc Womenn, and hard work at practice made it an Uoverwheluing succossn on its presentation. Jean L. ,- - Satterlee, Eleanor.Bctes, and hill Niepoetter were our.. class officers that year. l ',,,.. Now in the year, 1946, we find ourselves struggling 1 along towards the goal for whi h we have aimed two ve years. We see ourselves happi y but seriously doing the work which we have learned to love and enjoy. With keen interest we have grasped for that education wh1ch,. . prepares us for our future life and helps us to grow., mentally. New ideas for vocations are entering our ,. minds and we are beginning to reelige the full signify . icance of our education. ' ..t,,. ...., .
