Sports Top Row-Joe Ross, Albert Kuhn, Earl Wilkinson, Thomas Nicolay, Bill Pierce, Bill Niepoetter, Dwain Holtslaw. Boitom Row-Mr. Beckemeyer, Coach: Roy Noller, Joe Piasse, Bob Noller, Duane Hahn, Martin Kretzer, Alex Korzenewski, Bob Evans, George Ross, Manager. llntroducing The Team Duane Hahn: The regular center on the team and the main factor in its rebounding. He is the high scorer for the team this year. He has participated in all types of athletics offered in Sandoval High. Joe Piasse: A tall rebounding guard who is always giving his utmost in the game. Joe is skilled in long shots and handling the ball. Joe graduates this year. Voyit Lanter: A ball handler with excellent abili- ty. Voyit was formerly from Beckmeyer. He was a great offensive player. He is now serving in the United States Marines. Louis Deadmond: A forward and regular on the team, who showed skill as a ball handler and re- bounder. He is a Junior and will be back again next Year. Martin Kretzer: An excellent rebounder on the Blackhawk team. Martin has improved in all forms of ball playing this year. He will be back again next year. Alex Korzenewski: A forward with plenty of re- bounding ability. Alex was runner-up in scor- ing points. He will be back next year to help us out. He was also a member of the strong Soph- omore Team. Bill Niepoetter: Defensive mainstay and was strong on offense. He has long shot ability and came in third in scoring this year. Bill also is a member of the Sophomore Team. Joe Ross: A left hander who has been number one reserve of the Blackhawks. His left-handed shots will really cause some damage in the two re- maining years of his high school career. Roy Noller: An excellent reserve, who at all times was eager to cooperate. Roy came through sev- eral times this year with points. Bob Evans: A tall reserve who is always after the rebounds. He is skilled in ball handling and will probably replace Hahn on the team next year. He is also a member of the Sophomore Team. George Ross: Student manager of the Blackhawks for the past three years. George has been a great help to the team. He took care of the scor- ing of the games. Bob Oehmke: Assistant manager of the team. He has been a great help this year. Thirty-six
