The Class of 11946 A SOPHCMORE CLASS OFFICERS B111 Niepotter, President: Thomas Nicolay, Vice President Albert Kuhn, Secretary-Treasurer. The Sophomore Class this year as in all other years is just an 'Qin between group trying to get along, feeling quite grown up after overcoming their freshman timiclness. However people still say that they are lacking in sophistication and man- ners. In fact they are called Q'Silly Sophs . Bill Niepoetter is serving his second term as president of this class. Thomas Nicolay is the vice president and Albert Kuhn, the secretary-treasurer. Miss Sheeley and Mr. Beckemeyer are the sponsors of this class. Among them are many talented and popular students. Those who are on the Sandovalian Staff are Joe Ross, Betty Maloy, Mary Crane, Tom Nicolay, and Jean Satterlee. Sophomores on the Blackhawk Staff are Tom Nicolay, Joe Ross, and Albert Kuhn. The Sophomores pride themselves on their athletes. Those receiving athletic letters are joe Ross, Bill Niepoetter, Albert Kuhn, and Alex Korzenewski. The Sophomore cheerleader is Ramona Rains. Honor students of the Sophomore Class are Ada Anderson, Donald Belcher, Mary Crane, Imogene Nelson, Emma Lou Seidel, Eleanor Bates, Betty Maloy, Marie Bradford, and Bill Niepoetter. Nineteen

The Class of 19417 FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS Jack Raines, Presidentg Gladys Schossler, Vice Presidentg Effie Ruth Nicolay, Secretary-Treasurer. On first entering this high school we were very confused and felt as if we were out of place but now we have grown acustomed to it and feel at ease. Our class officers are: president, Jack Raines, vice president, Gladys Schoss- lerg secretary-treasurer, Effie Ruth Nicolayg and student council delegate, Jack Delahunt. . Freshmen who have honor roll report cards are: Phyllis Austin, Doris Lanham, Robert Oehmke, Beverly Skipper, Rosemary Piasse, Glyndene Hamm, and Rose- mary Felton. The freshmen in the Music Department are: Jackie Adams, Dorothy Cum- mins, Rosemary Piasse, Judy Piasse, Rosemary Felton, Beverly Skipper, and Glyn- dene Hamm. Freshmen who are members of the Sandovalian Staff are Glyndene Hamm and Jackie Adams. Phyllis Austin is the freshman reporter on the Blackhawk. The Freshman Class put on an assembly program which consisted of three different types of folk dances. This program was under the direction of Miss Culvey. The sponsors this year were Miss Culvey and Mr. Robertson. Robert Oehmke was awarded an athletic letter this year. Twenty-one
