The Class of 11946 A SOPHCMORE CLASS OFFICERS B111 Niepotter, President: Thomas Nicolay, Vice President Albert Kuhn, Secretary-Treasurer. The Sophomore Class this year as in all other years is just an 'Qin between group trying to get along, feeling quite grown up after overcoming their freshman timiclness. However people still say that they are lacking in sophistication and man- ners. In fact they are called Q'Silly Sophs . Bill Niepoetter is serving his second term as president of this class. Thomas Nicolay is the vice president and Albert Kuhn, the secretary-treasurer. Miss Sheeley and Mr. Beckemeyer are the sponsors of this class. Among them are many talented and popular students. Those who are on the Sandovalian Staff are Joe Ross, Betty Maloy, Mary Crane, Tom Nicolay, and Jean Satterlee. Sophomores on the Blackhawk Staff are Tom Nicolay, Joe Ross, and Albert Kuhn. The Sophomores pride themselves on their athletes. Those receiving athletic letters are joe Ross, Bill Niepoetter, Albert Kuhn, and Alex Korzenewski. The Sophomore cheerleader is Ramona Rains. Honor students of the Sophomore Class are Ada Anderson, Donald Belcher, Mary Crane, Imogene Nelson, Emma Lou Seidel, Eleanor Bates, Betty Maloy, Marie Bradford, and Bill Niepoetter. Nineteen

Q fa l JMHHUTQSQHHOT Banquet Banquet Committee Chairmen: Donna Bell, Entertainmentg George Ross, General Chairmang Evelynne Lyons, Decorationsg Doris Craig, Food. The climax of four years at S. C. H. S. came on the evening of May 12th when the Junior Class entertained the Seniors, the teachers, and other guests at the an- nual Junior-Senior Banquet. The gym was well decorated in a Navy effect with a lighthouse, anchors, and ships. Members of the Sophomore Class were sailor wait- ers and waitresses. The evening Was spent with music by home talent. An excellent meal was served by the Rebekah Lodge. During the evening Evelyn Lyons of the Junior Class acted as toastrnaster. The Welcome address was given by George Ross, the president of the Junior Class and the response by Richard Meyer, president of the Senior Class. The Class History was given hy Dorothy June Nicolay. Margaret Rae Andereclc read the Class Prophecy. The Class Will which was written by Evelyn Easton, Hazel Foltz, and Juanita Rhodes, was read hy Juanita Rhodes. This banquet was the terminal point of their high school career and the Jun- iors deserve much credit and praise for their work in this enjoyable occasion. They furnished the last remembrance of the school, for these seniors, who are soon go- ing to leave. Eighteen
