materials for early April distribution Writing, planning and iudging stories for the Sage, literary magazine, occu- pied the time for the members in the Creative Writing classes this year. The Sage staff sponsored a contest in which any interested student could submit poetry, essays or short stories. The contest closed Feb. 2. Winners then had their materials printed in the Sage, which was distributed in early April for 50 cents. The course was primarily for teaching students how to write essays, poetry and short stories. These students also submitted entries tor judging.
