game, dance end homecoming week Farmington's Homecoming Queen presented a gift to Sandia's royalty dur- ing the half-time ceremonies. Queen judy and Princesses Linda and Penny pose dur- ing the dance as Homecoming draws to a close. 84 .- . ,W if All Packing Milne Stadium Saturday, Nov. 21, a crowd of Matadors saw the grid team, hampered by the loss of sev- eral players, battle gamely with the Farmington Scorpions. Unable to overcome their disadvantage, the Matadors lost the Homecoming game 27-20, ending the grid season. During half-time ceremonies, the Farmington Home- coming Queen presented Sandia's royalty with gifts. Auto- graphed footballs were also presented to Queen Judy and Princesses Linda and Penny. Spirits, however, were only slightly dampened by the loss, and many Matadors thronged to the Scarlet and Blue Homecoming dance later in the Girls' Gym. Sponsored by the junior class, the dance featured a Stardust theme. This was carried out in the decorations. The Flamingoes played for the Sandians' listening. and dancing pleasure. This dance climaxed the reign of the schools first Scarlet and Blue Homecoming court. 5 1

Many of Sandizfs graduates returned for the Homecoming festivities, receiv- ing special recognition. An alumni tea also honored them.
