sophomore drama club produces play Escalante Del Cielo, the sophomore dramatics club, produced Sure As You're Born, a one-act play by Donald Payton, jan. 14. Also ushering for the Las Candilejas play, Night of january 16th, was one of the activities of the group. Sponsored by Mr. Hales, the sophomores are looking forward to joining the new Thespian Troup Number 879 as soon as the necessary points are earned. climaxes s club year Sandia's S Club, known as the Lettermen club, maintained a busy year with many successful projects. Members sold nighties, kept students off the gym floor during as- semblies and ran the concession stand during basketball games. The members also helped organize Sandia's Booster Club formed by parents of Sandia athletes. Highlighting the year was the Lettermen-Booster basketball game and the annual S Club picnic in the spring. Lettermen Steve Byrd, Bob Sabino, Albino Martinez, and Charles Cloyes meas- ure a Matador nighty on Karen Dorcas.
