'Now, when is this crazy annual supposed to come outg I mean if we DO make that deadline ? . . . These were all typical remarks that floated out of the small publications room as members of the '60 Crest staff worked long and late. The letting of bids in October slowed the staff, and getting the pictures and identifying them for class sections proved to be another problem. However, the staff, all volunteers who worked daily as well as Saturdays and Sundays in order to get the pages done on time, learned a lot this year about preparing an annual. They set up photography schedules, secured identification, checked proofs, planned and laid out pages, wrote and rewrote headlines and copy. They heaved a sigh of relief as the book went to the printer . . . and started planning the '61 Crest.
