Several informal parties were also held for the members.

The Sandia High School Band presented its first formal concert on Feb. 5 in the girls gym. Soloists for the affair were Mary Selles, Roger jannotta, and Carolyn Webb. PROGRAM Fantasy for band Jesu, joy of Man's Desiring Fanfare and Scenario Minuet from the Oratorio Samson Fantasy on American Sailing Songs Flute Cocktail Holiday in Paris Ouvre Ton Coeur Montmartre March Top saleswo-men Sharon Palmer and Mary Lepper re- ceived recognition for selling the largest amount of fruit-cakes to finance the Farmington trip. Some of these were: aiding in the city- wide Tri-Hi-Y Christmas party for the children of St. A-nthony's Orphanage, providing food, cloth- ing, and toys for a needy familyg selling tickets for Mysterama for the benefit of the blind, and parti- cipated in all Tri-Hi-Y sponsor- ed activities. The Deo Volanti, Tri-Hi-Y, activities included: a Thanksgiv- ing food driveg Christmas, and Easter parties and a talent show for the boys at St. Anthony's Or- phanageg a magazine drive for hospitals and old age homesg col- lecting of bottle caps for the children in hospitals to use in making trinketsg a bake sale for charityg and a barn dance for all Sandia High Tri-Hi-Y'S.
