Gale and Steve talk to Maria and family. The students learn in reservation school. fffiffwf Zfikfv School spirit reached an all-time high dur- ing the week preceeding the Christmas Holi- days. The Student Body Council had decided to sponsor the project of supplying food and toys for a near-by Indian village, Cononcito. Horneroomis challenged one another to see which could raise the largest quantity of food and toys for the destitute villageg individuals Within the hoomrooms competed, school clubs competed, and the piles of food and toys mounted. With the concentrated efforts of the en- tire student body, school clubs and organi- zations, tons of foods were obtained. The food was collected sorted and delivered by students who had taken a particular interest in the project. The boys enjoy having their picture taken.

Ever since messages were first sent in picture and verse to express joy and good wishes, people have been sending Christmas cards to each other. The Choral Department of Sandia High School ex- pressed good Wishes in musical living Christmas cards. The students of the department presented a Christmas program for the public in the Girls Gym Dec. 18. The Triple Trio, and soloist Kay Cummins added highlights to the program, along with narrators Steve Zent, Pat Pass, and Linda Baltzley.
