It was so popular in fact, that a special club was formed to promote the development of skating skills and knowledge. Meetings were held at the Lomas Ice Area each Wednesday from 4:00 to 5:30 p. m. These were some of the expressions heard every Thursday afternoon by the members of the Bowling Club. Setting up leagues and bowling against other school teams every week kept the members busy. The idea behind the organization was to provide good recreation and to further an interest in bowling and sports in general. 3 As he prepares to bowl, jim sizes up the alley. Scarlet and Blue Royalty. Glitter and excitement.. .skits and talent.. .hot flames against a cold, black night. . .a clear, crisp clay for the parade. . .mounting tension at the game. . .ex- hausted boys and girls attending a climaxing ball. These were some of the features of Sandia's first royal celebration, Scarlet and Blue Days, Oct. 31-Nov. 1. fdiflff .4140 3!.f7! The assembly, with Steve Zendt, master of ceremonies, and Linda Wooten, mistress of ceremonies, started off the big two-day celebration. The afternoon of skits, talent and gifts for the royalty was highlighted by the presentation and crowning of the Court, Princesses and Queen. Crown bearers for the Queen Presentation to the Royalty. Oh, Mr. Fuller Brush Man! Long live the MATADORS!
