Individual tournaments were held between members of the Club to determine those making up the team for the State Tournament in Socorro during meeting of the State Science Fair. The purpose of the Club was to promote Chess as characterizing the best in abstract, intellectual pro- blem solving. These were some of the expressions heard every Thursday afternoon by the members of the Bowling Club. Setting up leagues and bowling against other school teams every week kept the members busy.
