By participating together in sportsdays, intramurals., and playnights, Girls Athletic Association members learned to work and play together. Good sportsmanship, a quality of all true sportsmen, was learned to the maximum by Sandia girls. Sandia GAA traveled to Socorro for a sportsday with girls from Albuquerque High School. They also attended sports- days at Highland, Rio Grande, Albuquer- que High, and plans were being made for a sportsday to be given by Sandia. GAA girls entertained their mothers at a Mother-Daughter Playnight during Jan- uary. Further plans were being made for other activities, including an overnight camping trip to White Sands. Al- though the athletes didn't organize the club until the second semester, members sponsored several activities. Included were: cleaning the gym before games, operating a concession stand at games, and setting up the bleachers for the games. A 1etterman's picnic was also being planned for the end of the year.
