Ivy Club members were noted for the going-steady mit- tens which they sold at Christmas time. Other projects in- cluded collecting baskets of food, clothing and reading materials which were distributed in near-by Indian pueblos and other needy areas during the holiday season. Ivy Club was a senior girls' service club whose purpose was to work for the betterment of the student body. The mighty Matadors were presented a Vic- tory Bell by the members of the Tridents. The group purchased the bell from the Santa Fe Railroad, polished it until it was bright, and mounted it on rollers so it could be moved. Members also gathered wood for the Scar- let and Blue bon-fire, decorated for assemblies and held several informal parties for the mem- bers. Service- This was the motto of the newly or- ganized JUG Club.
