The mighty Matadors were presented a Vic- tory Bell by the members of the Tridents. The group purchased the bell from the Santa Fe Railroad, polished it until it was bright, and mounted it on rollers so it could be moved. Members also gathered wood for the Scar- let and Blue bon-fire, decorated for assemblies and held several informal parties for the mem- bers. Help Clean Up Sandia . . . . this was the year-long project of the members of the Celts Club. Organized as a service club, the primary goal of the Celts was to work for Sandia High School. The social events included a hay- ride and several informal dances. First semester officers: Harry Wishard, sponsorg Steve Everette, treasurerg Ralph Henry, presidentg Bob Odell, vice-presidentg Lavern Martinez, secretary. Second semester officers: Mr. Wishard, Jerry Atkin- son, vice-presidentg Garry Furry, presidentg Ted Coe, secretaryg Leo Gallegos, sergeant-at-armsg not pic- tured: Gary Easton, treasurer. 4 ali! Ivy Club members were noted for the going-steady mit- tens which they sold at Christmas time. Other projects in- cluded collecting baskets of food, clothing and reading materials which were distributed in near-by Indian pueblos and other needy areas during the holiday season. Ivy Club was a senior girls' service club whose purpose was to work for the betterment of the student body.
