Anchor Anchor is a club of thirty senior high girls who are chosen on their leadership ability, character, scholastic ability and enthusi- asm. Even though this was only the club's first full year of exis- tence, they serviced not only their school and community, but also other countries in many diverse ways. Supporting school spirit is a large part of Anchorls activities. They entered a float in the Homecoming Parade, and won first place at Skit Night. The first basketball spirit week was sponsered by this group of girls, and the first Monday of each month was Teacher Cookie Day. In helping the community they headed the Jerry Lewis Muscular Distrophy movie, wrapped Christmas presents for the American Cancer Society, collected money for UNICEF, and collected clothes for a needy Sandalwood-area family. Anchor members also sent books and wrote letters to a small boy overseas. , MN l 2' H , Anchor members, left to right-bottom row: Don Rehberg mascot, Nellie Coyle Executive Board, Amy Yates Executive Board, Kathy Blanchard Ex- ecutive Board, Sue Schwab President, Pat Plahut Treasurer, Nan Coyle Secretary, Roy Coyle Mascot, Not PicturedALori Camper Vice President.
