SANDIT O 1 Dorothy Ramsay Valerlictorian. Lions Club, Instrumental Muxir. This year, 1951-52, has indeed been one of the most outstanding years-if not THE outstanding year Patricia Hmdrinon -in the history of Sand Springs High School. S m'i Name an Oklahoma high school competitive event, and Sand Springs has won it, tied it, or finished at the very top in the ratings. Be it athletics, music, speech, agriculture, or any of the academic events, the name SANDITE has been synonymous with superiority. And the character, sports- manship, and fairness displayed by teachers and students 771,13 of SSHS have brought further honor to our school. You have performed your various tasks superbly. However, such achievement as has befallen SSHS this year, as in any other year, must necessarily depend upon many students, individually and in groups. To each of you students in SSHS, for your spirit, achievement, loyalty and accomplishment, the SANDITE presents you an award of merit! if Donnie Fisher Wayne Sullivan Soulbwest Box Award for Bn! THE SANDITE 1952 N FOOTB LL Coach Maurice Hail's dauntless Sandites marked up Sand Springs High School's greatest gridiron season this ye inning the I6-A, Bi-District, and Regional champ- ionships, losing the state Class s i-finals by one penetration to Ada, after knotting the score 20-20, and out-playing the state champions in every other department in the books. The only real defeat, in theqinds of SSHS fans, was the 27-6 loss to Sapulpa early in the season before the S-Men found themselves. All-conference, all-state, and all-star teams, named at the close of season, were ated with Sandites. Although they lost in the semi-final state playoff, the fans will long remember these 1951 Sandites as champions - both on and off the field. Q 5 :PA E 33. ,f fic .QOS3 -Q-Q tl L. X 'B 5-...
