.ferry Langenkaiup has been given the Craftsman Award for being an all-around outstanding boy of the Senior Class. He was also voted the outstanding senior boy of the Choir. Jerry has been a member of the Choir for four years, the Band for one year, and the Gremlins for three years. He is President of the Music Masters, was a participant on the KVOO quiz program, and a member of the Junior and Senior Play Casts. W Clara Dean Bigby, has been given the Craftman award for all-around ability during high school. She also received the Delta ,Kappa Gamma award for an outstandng Future Teacher-of America and the Jenkins Instrumental Music Award. Clara Dean was a delegate to Girls' State, a member of the Y-Teen the Deb-Zelles, the Orchestra and the Band. She has been very active in Speech and in Dramatics, acting in several plays and entering several speech contest in the past years. 1 QWOIZDSJ .,-A E. . y . K, Clara Lee Brandon has been awarded the Balfour Plaque, pre'- sented annually for Scholarship, loyalty and Achievement. She has been a member of the Stu- dent Council, the Choir and the Jun- ior Play Cast. Ill ,1 ' 3 ., 'Donnie Heinicke won the Balfour Plaque on the basis of loyalty, schol- arship and dependability. He is a member of the Choir, Gremlins, and Past Master Council- or of the DeMoley. He was president of the Hi-Y and a member of .,the Junior Play Cast.

l'ALEllIC'l'0lllA Pat Patrick, selected Salutatorian, is another one of the outstanding members of this year's Senior Class. Pat is a member uf the Y-Teen, Rainbow Girls, and the Deb-Zells. She has been very active in Speech and placed second in the Rotary Club Essay Contest this year. She was a candidate for Football Queen and Sandite Queen attendant dur- ing her Senior year. Pat was also a con- testant on the KVOO quiz program. Shirley Brink, with a superior scholas- tic average, was awarded Valedictorian of the Senior Class of 1949. Shirley has been active in most all school affairs, re- ceiving the American Legion Citizenship Award when she was a Freshman. She was elected by student vote as Band Queen in '48 and joined the band the year after her reign. Shirley was President of the Y-Teens, a member of the Deb-Zells, and a participant in the KVOO Going to College program. OWQIZD Bob Cook, President of the Senior Class, was given the American Legion Citizenship Award on the basis of character, couragge, leadership and service. He has been Vice-President oi' the Junior Class, Master Councilor of the Demolay, and a member of the Student Council for three years. Bob is a member of the Hi-Y, the Basketball Team, the Sand- tonian Staff, the Stagecraft De- partment, and the Gremlins. .M .J Dixie Jones has been given the American Legion Citizenship Award for character, courage, leadership and service. She is a member of the Y-Teens, Student Council, the Rainbow Girls, Deb-Zelles, and thc Stagecraft Department. Dixie was a candidate for Football Queen both her Junior and Senior year and ailso a can- didate for Band Queen in hei Junior year. Jeanne McCracken was awarded the Lion's Club Scholarship on the basis ol' loyalty. citizenship, contribution to the school and ability to do college work. She is a member of the Rainbow Girls, the Y-Teen, Kat. Klub, Choir, and the Annual Staff. Jeanne was a contestant on the KVOO' Going to College quiz, a delegate to girls' State, Secretary-Treas- urer of the Senior Class, and a member of the Junior Play -Cast. She also won a 3150 scholarship from Tulsa Univer- sitv.
