FFA HISTORY The Future Farmers of Amer- ica chapter here was first organ- ized in the fall of 1948, with Mr. Edmond E. Stewart as advisor for that and the following six years. Mr. James E. Blake has been ad- visor this year. Projects carried on have been tree-pruning in the community and cemetery clean-up. The past two years two girls have been sponsored to state FHA camp. livestock judging contest 119551 and in plant pathology f1954l , first place in string band competition fl955l, third in the state in the creed con- test fLarry Barker-19531, third in parliamentary procedure 09541, and the following individual state firsts. The livestock judging team- Delmas Keith, Charles Massey and Bernard McHenry-won this y'ear- an all-expense trip to the National F. F. A. Convention and Judging Contests in Kansas City, where Charles Massey won abronze emb- lem, a third-place individual award.
