-I-hatoftq bon Semen Claaa of 59 In lookrng back to our years rn hrgh school we may be rnclmed to frrst look for the marks that we have scratched on the scroll contarnrng the hxstory of S C rn 1ts enurety But after a few mrnutes ID daze we ll remember and realrze that rt was really good ol S C H S that left IIS mark on us We were rntroduced to S C H S as Freshmen rn 1955 though ll seemed as rf we were mtrouduc ed to an entrrely new personalrty about whrch we soon developed many questrons An mexplrcable feel1ng of rnsecurlty arose but we were determmed to begrn our clrmb up the ladder W1th the help of Mr and Mrs Vandevender as our advrsors we began thrs cllmb by electlng our class offrcers who were Chad Mlller Presldent Debble Hathaway Vrce Presrdent Jacqute Munk Secretary Darwyn Sanborn Treasurer A Freshmen booth 1n the Sophomore Carnlval and a whrte elephant sale were a couple of the money maktng projects that we undertook Rememberrng and learntng from our mrstakes as Sophomores 111 1956 we were ready to contrnue the cllmb now more sure of our footrng Our advlsors thxs year were Mr Wells and Mr Lahman Our Presrdent was Jacqute Munk Vlce Presldent DIXIE Terry Secretary Debbre Hathaway Treasurer Reva Gardner The blggest prolect of the year for us was the Sophomore Carnrval The year 1957 flnally rolled around and found us a lrttle more the wlser and experlenced now we were Junlorsl Mr O Brlen and Mrs McGregor though advlsed us rn the problems that we drd face Helplng them were Iacquxe Munk Presldent Debble Hathaway V1ce Presldent Darwyn Sanborn Secretary Reva Gardner Treasurer As usual we were engaged rn many money makmg proJects throughout the year a slave auctron car wash and sales of candy were some of the examples The Junxor play The Monkey s Uncle was a great h1t To the pr1de of our class Julla Benner our candrdate for the homecomrng dance was chosen Queen The purchasmg of our class rrngs was also a very memorable t1me Perhaps the brggest event of the year was the Junror Senlor Banquet and Prom was a brt touchrng to us for rt rem1nded us that we would soon be Senrors and nearrng graduatlon Thts last and most rmportant year drd arrtve rrght on t1me rn 1958 Senrors at last! Our advrsors for the year were Mr Condon and Mr Bryant Our class leaders were Jacqule Munk Presldent Debbre Hathaway Vrce Presrdent Ronald Sobota Secretary Reva Gardner Treasurer The new year maugu rated the new s1x hour day and we were able to share rn thls program before we would become hlstory wrth the old erght hour day We were really busy thls year busy tn makrng money The annual sales skatrng partres tce cream sales sales at the games and sellmg every k1nd of nrck nack helped to br1ng about our Senror tr1p The Senror play Frnders Creepers also helped some on the way to the trrp but we ll remember rt rn somethlng more than rn terms of money Among the memorable occasrons that were partrcrpated rn durrng the year were the Homecomrng dance ln whlch our candrdate Evelyn Horner served on the queen s court The Junror Senror Banquet and Prom were occasrons to remember We were soon rem1nded of our comrng graduatron by our Senror prctures For many days prctures were passed from one to another to the ex asperatlon of the teachers The sprlng of 1999 found us on our Senror tr1p a tour of New York Clty w1th a short stop over 111 Washrngton D C May brought the reach mg of our frnal goals rn the cllmb upward Baccalaureate Class Nlght and most rmportant Gradua tron Nrght Dlplomas rn hand srgned sealed and delrvered we became alumus of S C It seemed a long 13 years of work as we looked toward our goals now that we have reached the goal the t1me seems to have flown by rather qulckly We have lost the securlty of bemg a student we are launchrng 1nto a world where we must make our own way and reap benefrts equal to our efforts we have attalned our prevlous goals and start now to work toward new asp1rat1ons usmg the knowledge and experrence that we have gatned at S C H S as a means to attatnrng them Our four years of hrgh school w1ll always recall memor1es to us We leave them wrth mrxed emo trons of happrness sadness and gratrtude toward those who have helped make them a strong foundatlon on whrch to burld our future by RONALD SOBOTA 15 O I I . . . .
