The Junior and Senior boys seem to ponder over a weighty problem in Mr. Osborn's Ag. ll class. The teacher looks relaxed and the students are busy notetakmg so the experiment must be successful for Mr. Geist. AIIHVIHES SENIOR PLAY The threefact farce eoanedy, One Wild Night, was presented to a tall hnase on Vritjay. March 2:, Jim Hauenstein and Orville Poling were efficient stage managers and Jerry Whipple did the prompting. The play evolved around four characters. Grant Swift very efiectixely portrayed Rodney Dodd, the wealthy young nian who believed he m ist live a semifinvalid life to ,lease his aunt. Virginia Munir, as Charlotte Allen, was a charming co-actor in her role as Aunt Myra Opal Dodd s companion. Mary Lou Butler as Miss Dodd tried all patiences with her imagined illnesses. Jodwillow played by Andy Thielan, was a xery correct hutle. and he and Henrietta the housekeeper, played by Jeanette Spencley came in for their share of catering to Aunt Myra. As the plot thickened, Ross VanDusen as the very convincing gangster, Scorpio, and Norman Vanderpool as the bewildered Oftieer Brayder, did their share to create several mix-ups. Jean Yeagley as Jade Darnelli, the night club singer, tried her best to blackmail Rodney while Maribelle and Doris Winthrope, the college girls front next door, played by Barbara Elliott and Marjorie .ileock create some embarrassing situations for Rodney who wishes to impress Charlotte. However, Aunt Myra decided it would be better to lead more active life and Rodney and Charlotte patch up their differences while Allen Rtithbun as the impetuous Ned Steerwell, decided not to insist that Doris Winthrope marry Rodney Dodd because he thought she lox ed Rodney and not him. Loretta Lash, as the effusive Mrs, Rooly, happily measures the Dodd residence for a dormitory after her brush with Scorpio and Caroli Ferrier, in the role of Mrs. Batsom, tells Rodney what a brave man he was to expose Scorpio to the police. Art llare, as Doctor Bell, with Nurse Trent, played by Sarah Ann llowdyshell, as his assistant, finds that Rodney no longer needs his medications after he meets Charlotte, The bombs stop exploding, the community singing dies down, Rodney is no longer an invalid and Atint Myra is rejuvenated so all ends well :hat did not begin well. - Psbc Qs ' lr' ' 'U ' ' Q Q, ,' K I Ifb , W' t Q,'?.qf2' kai: 'Gr V : .f sr ' ss, 'Eze ' ' - in iz , liviaiiihl N '13 S 8 .Q ff' g veg, f 3 ., .
