There were seventeen pupils in the first grade, eighteen in the second grade and fifteen in the third grade. With fifty children, most of whom are in the five to eight year age group, our room is a busy place and often a noisy one. Special events have been the parties held at Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day. The assistance of Lucille Cole in the grade rooms has been greatly appreciated by scholars and teachers. Many lessons and tests have been made easier by her typing The sale of defense stamps has been brisk all during the year, even little chlldren are war conscious and realize he good their dimes may do one boy filled his stamp book and bought his little slster a bond for Christmas 'ednes day is known as 'Stamp Day' in the grades Iiret Row, Left to Bight J Merrick, K Elliott, I Le Soto, B Resner, T Salts, C Stevens, J lard, A lieemnnn, B Calvin, B Slmpkine, I Herrick, R Ohlinger, J linier, J Stevens, I Griffith, B Phenioie, B Shar, C I Laughlin, G Poe, T Turpenny, I A Scott, I Turealq G Elliott, L Cole, Third Row: B Elliott, I Clough, B Phenicie, R Mohler, L lille, J Be en stein, R Bice, V Bentley, H llesunnn, D Beck, S Risner, L Jenkine, Pearcy Clot present P Anderson, B Bentley, O Crandall B Loop, S Gi bereon, R Gflberlon, I Griffith, B Murphy, ll Singklne, A Turpenny I tl ' e I I . 0 -J - Y.
