R V E S T 'zafei 78 We are glad to welcome five new students in our room this year They are Evelyn De Meritt, Virginia Willard and Don Hauenstein in the eighth grade, John Keller and Bill Hill in the seventh grade During the school year, we have had some parties, one of wkich was a cele bration of our joining the Junior Red Cross, one hundred per cent At Christmas time, we drew names for a gift exchange Miss Beck furnished candy and nuts for the party, December 25 The Seventh Grade Club has elected officers twice this year The first group was as follows President Audette Force, Secretary Virginia Clark Treasurer, George Campbell, Program Chairman, Vernon Stowell, Program Committee Betty Simpkins, Onalee Hambrook and Harlan Schmidt The second group were President Betty Simpkins, Secretary Onalee Hambrook, Treasurer, Harlan Schmidt Program Chairman Audette Force, Program Committee Virginia Clxrk, George Camp bell The seventh and eighth grades combined their clubs for one meeting, to hear a very interesting talk on photography, by Mr Strayer The eighth grade organized a club called nThe Junior High English Club e elected officers twice The flrst officers were President Marlin Zink Vice President, Dick Duve, Secretary Don Hauenstein, Program Committee Margaret Keenan, James Zander The second group were President Rose Iary Hahn, Vice President alter King, Secretary Evelyn De Meritt Program Committee Harold Nat tis, and Don Hauenstein The eighth grade misses its splendid civics teacher, Mr Downer e hope that we may have him back with us again First Row, Left to Right Miss Beck, D Hauenstein, V Sto well, V Willard, J Alfrey, V Clark, O Hambrook, H Schmidt J Keller Second Row R Kintner, R M Hahn, M Keenan, F Briggs, D Duve, H Dauber, W Hill, H Mattis Third Row W King, G Campbell, J Zander, A Jeffrey, G Wiesmann, E De Meritt, B J Simpkins, V Clough, A Force - 15 H A E 5 5 4 - ' o . . .
