4 .Jr ' ,t.Z 1 ' f- 9 ,, Mrs. Eleanor Murr ty, Dean of Girls DEDICATIO With genuine appreciation. the staff dedicates the l957 Searchlight to our esteemed dean of girls. Mrs. Eleanor Murray. Her guiding council, balanced with understanding. and inspiration. has been greatly appreciated by the students and faculty of SRHS. Her unique classroom personality. and the knowledge of her subjects points up her outstanding teaching ability, Good nature radiates from her face as she cheerfully greets all whom she meets. Who could forget her whole-hearted co-operation at all SRHS's social events? Faithfully she has been present at these functions for many years. In addition to serving all the students in the school. Mrs. Murray has given personal help and advice to those especially needful of council. Many girls are grateful to her for jobs they have obtained through her services. Her many activities are far too numerous to mention. Her presence in SRHS will most assuredly be missed now that she is to retire. We are grateful for having had the privilege of knowing her. She will be missed. but never forgotten by those who know her. Thus, in acknowledgement of a person instrumental in the advancement of our high school, we dedicate this book. 5
