GEORGE GRASSO TOM McGRATl-I DOT HOOPER IOAN WALTERS Fall President Boys' Vice-President Girls' Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Yell Loader Sprmq Yell Leader SENIOR STANDING COMMITTEE FALL Coming back to school in the fall of '47 the newly elected officers of the Senior Class eagerly began to plan for an all important year, the last of their high school life. ' At the close of the Iunior year the class had ordered their Senior sweaters. Breaking away from traditional red and white sweaters, this year's Senior donned a pearl-grey sweater with a red numeral block designed by Paula De Carlo. In November the Seniors with the highest scholastic standing took the Pepsi Cola Scholarship examinations. They were Wayne Kennedy, Iensen Young. Christine Christensen, Dick Mathews, Ed Gardner, Iulia Rice, Harold Hildebrant, and Kathleen Vereker. December came, and with it the photographer to take the long awaited Senior pictures. Proofs arrived about two weeks later and exclarnations were heard all over the campus. ln Ianuary several members of our class distinguished themselves by earn- ing Distinguished Service Medals. These students were Dorothy Cooper and Leo Andrade. Earning Honor Award Medals were Edwin Gardner, George Grasso, Lorraine Wicht, and Evelyn Affonso. In Ianuary we also ordered cards and announcements and new elections were held. lt didn't seem possible that half our Senior Year was gone! BACK ROW, left to right: M. Stein. I. Gulick, E. Gardner.
