When all had re turned to their seats the whole class turned their teal blue tassels from the lett to the right signifying they were now full-fledged graduates. What thoughts ran through the heads ot those on stage? Do they wonder where will they be going tomorrow? Will it be oft to 1' ' January 28, 1954 ARE NOT F ORGOTTEN ! college? Will it be a job, a career, or mar- riage? Service in the armed forces? Do graduates realize that this marks the last night the class of W'54 will be together as a part of our school? What is the audience thinking? There are smiles here, tears there. Even more than the graduates, the parents realize this marks a major change for everyone in the blue or White robes. From these l4l boys and girls on the stage, will come some of the future leaders of our community. 1 x7 Q-2, J if h?'di ,t 1 ' X , WINTER FIFTY-FOUR COMMENCEMENT Ianuary 28, 1954 PROCESSION AL: Pomp and Circumstance. Boys take these courses to prepare for occupa- tions in industry. Boys who have completed satisfactorily l2UU hours or more receive a vocational certificate giving them a head start for a job. A vocational certificate usually satisfies one year of apprenticeship training. Some girls who are interested in architecture take drafting to get a start toward interior decorating or a career in architecture.
