A HE' wif Professional Dancers Grace Campus or the past three years we have had two professional dancers here at San Pasqual High School. Mindy Arnold started dancing at the age of four at the California Ballet School. She changed to the New West Ballet School at the age of twelve. She wants to go to college after high school, but does not plan a career in dance. She has performed in The Nutcracker and Copelia. Our other fine dancer is Diane Pot- ter. She started dancing about eleven years ago. She dances at the New West Ballet School and at Palomar College. Diane plans to go to USIU and major in dance or musical theater. She has performed in A Christmas Fantasy and Peter and the Wolf Two fine dancers give us a winning smile. Mindy Arnold and Diane Potter CL to RJ.

With every tournament accompanies the hope of in- creasing their national ranking or impressing a college. They are a group of nine very talented tennis players from statesgall over the country: Mike Brownie Brown 1181, Montanag Beth Ookie Choate 1161, North Carolinag Jack 'ilacksonn Frierson 1l71, Georgia, Scott Wild Thing Hulse 1171, Illinoisg Mark Fruit Bas- ketu Gothard 1161, Californiag Jeff Frey Feet Kingi' Gothard 1141, Californiag Kylie Smilie Johnson 1171, Utahg Matt Waldo McKelvain 1171, Alabamag and Andy Potty Potter 1181, Colorado. They attend Total Tennis Junior Ten- nis Academy coached by Doug Shouffer and Woody Blocher. For over three hours a day, they sweat, practice, and run through their ex- crutiating work-outs. They all have very differ- ent games and techniques, but they all have one thing in common: their love for tennis. As they all say You got to love it . With support from their parents and coaches, they are hopeful of attending great tennis colleges. Ideally, the ulti- mate goal is to become pro. And after that may- be win the U.S, Open or Wimbeldon or even become ifl in the world. These dreams urge them onward, but most of all they do it because they love it.
