9 Lets Do Lunch aven't you noticed that lunch rhymes with munch, bunch, and punch? Munch: Lunch means eat, and eating sounds like munch. People in fourth pe- riod just wait to get out and chow down, or they secretly hide food from the teacher and eat it all by the end of the period, which is quite effective if you know how. Then, during lunch, they can talk to all of their friends instead of wasting time eating. Bunch: At lunch, there is never any- body eating alone. This bunch of people talk and eat, sometimes at the same time. Punch: It always happens, trashcanning of a freshman or a fight. Punching is usually involved, but, some adult breaks it up before it gets violent. Munch, bunch, punch: lunch!
