1 Varsity And J Girls Swim With Speed his year's Girls Varsity Swimming was made up of mostly new members since the team had many seniors last year. Instead of specializing in one area Ctype of strokel they were encouraged to develop their natural talent in other areas. Being versatile was their goal. Some of the team members were: Kim Kaufmann, Susie Kroesche, Aline Sullivan and 1- lThe team had a very good chance in the League because they worked so hard throughout the season. Their toughest com- petition was Escondido High School. This year's Girls J.V. Swimming has already be- gun to show their knack for water sports. The team has jumped into the season begin- ning with hard rigorous practices taking place at Grape Day Pool. The girls team worked hard perfecting their skill, ready to clash with any formidable opponent. .V. Volleyball hines ll his year the Junior Varsity Vol- leyball team had many quality players. Their agility and ag- gressiveness was an important factor in the season. The quickness of the players helped them win many key games. Ex- cellent passing from the defense and powerful spiking from the offense put several points on the board for them. As the season went on, the games became more exciting as their skills improved. Sophomores Miki Urban and Rob Fo- ley led the team.
