1 Bo 's arsity Soccer Ruins Rivals he Boys Varsity Soccer team played many close games this year. Although they were ex- pected to be a tough contender in league, injuries and red cards prevented them from being the team they wanted to be. One great highlight of the season was a 2-0 victory over rival Escondido. Goalies James Crouch and Chris De- Falco made many outstanding saves, and were credited with the shut-out. We played a great game. The defense did a great job of containing their for- wardsf' said first-year coach John Bar- bosa. Senior Tim Morgan was the teamas leading scorer. B!PHH'D'luk also helped the offensive. Senior Kobi Iki was considered one of the best players in league and led a strong defensive line. Marcus Wiemers, Joel Johnson, and ' also contributed to the defensive by preventing many forwards from shooting goals. A. t Varsity S.P. It would certainly in- clude the Boy's Frosh Basketball team. The Freshman Eagles were prev- alent among the other league teams, with a 9-3 record at the season's close. Highlights of the season were the three games played against the across-town rival, Escondido, where the Eagles won all three. Another exceptional game in- cluded the Fab Four , 8h?'i's'FI':Eif1G7l:k, an incredible defense player, RFB.- lidsa, team leader in steals, Dave Prieta, point guard and excellent 3 point shooter, and - ' - , a great percentage shooter. Coach Moyn- eur had nicknamed his team The Lunch Bunch , because many of his Frosh Eagles spent their lunch periods in the gym shooting and practicing on their own time.
