The department allows students to work yet still obtain credits for graduation. The Drivers EducationfSafety Department pre- pares students for hitting the road in an automobile and learning the rules of the road. The Health Department covers the different inner body parts and the effects of illegal substances on them. A- Everyone knows the latest answer to this week's trivia question in Driver's Ed. B. Mr. Ritter, the work experience teacher, is ready to get cooled off. C. W, 7 . fd' . lasses in the Business Education de- partment include typing, personal typing, business law, business math, office skills, fashion skills, fashion merchan- dising, accounting. and Business English. Since these classes are electives and met class requirements, many students chose to take them. The purpose of these classes, then, was to teach skills and students to be ready to go out in the business field and to be ready for college business courses. New classes for the future may be small business ownership which students will benefit from since they will learn realistic skills. Students didn't hesitate to sign up for these classes since there was literally no pressure and the ideas interested them. There was also a Ca- reers Club which Mrs. Dietz advised. This club raised funds for a trip to the California Mart in Los Angeles where every piece of clothing in Southern California is imported. Necessary surviving skills such as cooking, sewing and childcare are brought up in the Home Economics Department. Industrial craft including auto shop and metal crafts can be tackled by anyone through the lndus- trial Education Department. A. A home economics class-not much cooking today.
