he theatre is introduced through the Drama class at San Pasqual. Workshops, plays, and competi- tions were some of the activities which took place in this department. Drama increases the student's mind in being able to create their own piece of art. A. Drama students are practicing their parts in an upcoming play. rdering one's thoughts into compositions and being able to understand great themes are re- quired of students in the English De- partment's Literature and Composition classes. Grammar which used to be stressed the most has now been taken over by Literature. Wuthering Helghts is just one of the famous novels read in the English Department for 12th grad- ers. Other courses offered are Shake- speare, American Novel, World Lit., and Grammar. E.S.L. is a course of- fered to the Latino migrants and other foreigners to learn English as a second language. B. Christmas parties with foreign dishes and caroling, cultural days, scavenger hunts and triv- ia days were some of the fun items that were rewarding for all the cramming and exams. The main thing students re- member was that classes were just like math. New classes developed, for example the second semester civics course was indulged in pure economics, and the new world cultures course tied geography and world history to- gether. Students in the social stud- ies developed a number of things, one of them including the ability to analyze certain situations and oc- curences. Also, students gathered a historical perspective, the under- standing of politics, and an aware- ness of what was going on in the world around them. By following 92 Academics qualms!! These fields included the following: economics, teaching, law enforce- ment, lawyer, interests in govern- ment and politics, communications and radio and television, social work, and mental health. Mr. Pusker mentioned that the class of '88 had slightly changed in that they had better skills, abilities, and a more successful attitude. He also feels that the Social Science de- partment should be a leading study because of its political adaption and its broader focus on the major bearings of life. p Arts And Craft ommunication comes in many different ways, shapes, and forms. Showing feelings through art is best expressed at San Pasqual in the Art Department. Many classes ranging from Cerramics to Woodshop challenge both boys and girls to be cre- ative. A- During art class, Mrs. bunes is helping a stu- dent get the right perspective. B.
